    My parents bought a Palm Harbor double wide home in 1995. It's still in pretty good shape after almost 40 years. Has the polybutylene plumbing lines. I think that was banned in 1995. The only thing to go wrong was the door handles. The inner workings were all plastic. Several of them failed almost immediately. The company was very good about replacing every one of them. Inner walls were framed with 2x3s, outer walls 2x6s. Well insulated outer walls and below. It doesn't get that cold here, but heat pump worked fine down into the low teens for extended periods. It was constructed on a ridge of solid rock underneath, so no settling problems.

    I am about to make a purchase. I k ow your 35 had a backhoe attachment and now you have the mini. If you had it to do all over again, would you not buy the backhoe attachment and go ahead and get the mini. That’s what I am try to decide before I purchase.

    • @tractorrookie
      @tractorrookie 3 дні тому

      Hi Jack! I used the backhoe to put in several utilities and for a few other projects. It was handy, especially given I did not have to go rent something. After all the utilities were in, it mostly sat in the shop and they take up a lot of floor space. I sell used stuff all the time and I had a hard time selling it. They are also very expensive. I think renting an excavator when needed would be a better option. If you don’t want to rent, buy one of the Chinese mini excavators. Hope that helps! Good luck with your purchase! Cheers🇺🇸🚜

    Hey, Keep up the great work! I am look at exactly your CK2620seh cab and was wondering if it fits in a 96” garage door with the R14tires? How do you find the visibility for fork work? Thanks

    • @tractorrookie
      @tractorrookie 5 днів тому

      Hi there, Thanks! It will fit as long as you take the warning triangle off or move it. The visibility for the forks sucks. That was one of the reasons I had to bypass the seat safety switch. You need to get out of the seat occasionally. Best wishes with your purchase! Cheers🚜🇺🇸

    I'm wondering how loud it is in the cab when you're working the tractor? Can you actually hear the speakers or is it too loud to listen? I seen a video on someone on a tym tractor and he said it was loud inside the cab. Any info would be appreciated. Love your videos!

    • @tractorrookie
      @tractorrookie 11 днів тому

      Hi Leroy! Good question. I might try and do a demo on that at some point. I would say they are okay. On a scale of 1-10, I’d give them a 6. It depends on what you are doing and the level of sound quality you want. I use the speakers when I am getting in and out of the cab. Like when I am moving pallets or totes, stuff like that. When I am mowing, I prefer to use AirPods. The cab is fairly loud at the high rpms. I have taken a couple of our larger tractors to the stereo shop to have radios installed for customers. Some people use them all the time, but I also think the larger tractors have better quality speakers. Hope that helps! Cheers🚜🇺🇸

    As I get older, the idea of a tractor with a climate controlled can becomes much more appealing. The problem I have, is that I bought my little Kubota tractor specifically to get into some really tight quarters in my woods. Between trees, under low hanging limbs, etc. A cab simply will not do. It would have dents, broken windows and so forth. For now, I guess I will just watch your videos with a slight bit of jealousy!

    • @tractorrookie
      @tractorrookie 12 днів тому

      Hi Gary Very true! The comfort of climate control is more appealing with age. I also like the clean space, a cab not covered in dust etc. I know that sounds silly. I also agree there are places I can no longer go unless I cut a path and make it limb free. Everything is a trade off. I was moving some bigger open station tractors yesterday at the dealership and thinking- these are nice! 🤣😅 Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!🚜🇺🇸

    Great video. One tip to add - to get hydraulic fluid back into the unit, I use a small 5 gal bucket hand pump with a hose on it to refill my ck3510. It works well and leaves no mess. These pail pumps are available on Amazon. Well worth the purchase. Keep up the great work. 👍

    Congratulations! I like the idea of that de-tuned previous 35 hp engine (without the emissions stuff). That's a great new machine. I'll be interested to hear how you like it as you have it longer, compared to your previous one.

    Hey Mike, the cab definitely has it's benefits. As with most things there are always the positives and negatives. I drove a lot of cab tractors over the years and the climate control and staying out of the dust and rain are a big deal. One of the main things for me was the reduced visibility, but I know you adapt and get used to it. Either way, I think you made a good choice, especially with all the rain you guys get. Enjoyed the video and stay safe out there.

      Hi there! Nope! It’s not just you! I would love more power and more money 😂😅 Like it is often said, there is no perfect fit, seems like most of us always need something slightly different, bigger, smaller or more powerful. I think we’re always working towards a good fit for what we need. I appreciate the view! Cheers! 🚜🇺🇸

    I have a Deere 3032E open station. Not planning on selling it, but am in the market for a mini-excavator. The mini's DEFINITELY gonna have a cab! I'll be using it in the woods a lot, making trails, clearings, food plots, etc. and I keep thinking about running across a yellow jacket hive. Not a nice experience when you're exposed. It'll be nice to be cool in summer, warm in winter, and out of the dust too.

    I have the same tractor with backhoe and just had my 50H service done. Love the tractor but it's my first so I can't compare it to any others. I plan on getting a snow blower and will truly appreciate the cab when the snow comes. The AC is great as well. The seat safety switch is a bit of a pain.

      Hi Christopher! Right on! I got a lot of use out of my backhoe putting in utilities. A snow blower sounds like fun! Awesome. I got the safety switch bypass online. Much happier 😜 Thanks for checking out the video and commenting!🚜🇺🇸

    It seems to me that the positive attributes outweigh the negative. I’m still vacillating about the cab versus an open station tractor. We both live in the Pacific Northwest and we definitely can experience a wide variety of weather conditions. That is why I was extremely interested in your opinion and review of this particular tractor. Hopefully you’ll have time to film the fifty hour service and the necessary information about the process. Thanks for the video and keep us updated on future developments.

      Hi Robert! I hear you! I thought about it quite a bit. The fact of the matter is that most of us can’t afford all the perfect tools, we just try and get the best fit for our circumstances. I’ll keep you posted! Cheers my friend! 🚜🇺🇸
